Permafrost is the ground beneath your feet when the soil is at or below the freezing point of water for two or more years. In some places, it takes 500,740 years extended over several glacial and interglacial cycles for permafrost to form. This is ice laden fir needles, frigid ozone, a few drops of citrus oils encased in ice. A bit of eucalyptus provides an added chill, and a sprig of anise gives the illusion of warmth.
